A better result couldn't arrive from the last race in Sochi: Trident Motorsport won F3 Team Title and got the second and third place in the Driver Championship. Before the seventh and final round of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, the team had twenty-five points to recover in the team standing and forty-three in the driver standing.
During Race 1, Jack Doohan lost any chance to fight for the Top Driver Title because he had a collision at the first corner of the track. He said: "I'm very sorry, I would have liked to win the Title, I think I was among the better this year, but I'm a rider, I'm fighting for the Team, but it's clear that I want to win!". On the other hand, the result of his teammate Novalak was excellent. From eleventh position he finished with a good fourth place, but nothing to do instead for David Schumacher who was dealing with physical issues, so he didn't hit the point area.
The adverse weather conditions led the stewards to cancel Race 2. Meanwhile in Race 3, a stunning first and third place from Doohan and Novalak arrived.
