Le Mans Series at Imola: Vector Sport shows strength and potential despite unfortunate ending

In the third round of the European Le Mans Series held at Imola, Vector Sport Team confirmed its growing potential with a solid and precisely managed race, right up until the closing stages. On the technical layout of the Santerno circuit, the Oreca 07 Gibson #10 — driven by Ryan Cullen, Vladislav Lomko and Pietro Fittipaldi — displayed a competitive pace and well-executed strategies, highlighting the team’s progress in this 2025 Le Mans Series season.

The weekend started positively, with encouraging results in the free practice sessions, where Vector Sport recorded the sixth-fastest time overall among the LMP2 class. During the 4 Hours of Imola, the team maintained a steady presence in the leading group, climbing as high as second place thanks to effective tire and pit stop management.

A late-race collision, however, affected their chances of finishing in the points. The #43 Inter Europol car hit the #10 at the Variante Alta, sending it into the gravel and causing a spin. Despite the incident, Fittipaldi quickly rejoined the race, avoiding major damage and showing composure under pressure.

In summary, the Imola weekend underlined Vector Sport’s upward trajectory in the Le Mans Series. The team has all it takes to return to the spotlight at the next round in Spa-Francorchamps at the end of august.
