Last round of the season in Formula 2 at Abu Dhabi track: P7 for Verschoor and official debut in the category for Maloney.
In the Yas Marina Feature Race, Trident took a good seventh position with Richard Verschoor. The driver started with Prime tyres from the fifth row on the starting grid, lost a few positions in the first few meters of the race, relegating to P13. Then returning from the pits with Option tyres, Verschoor maximized the technical advantage that allowed him to break into the top ten and finish in a deserved P7. Nine positive results for Verschoor who managed to give continuity to his season and which reflects a year in marked growth for the entire Trident Motorsport team in the Formula 2 championship.
Great success also for the Barbadian driver who takes the place vacated by Calan William and makes his debut in Formula 2 after having played a brilliant season in F3.
Zane Maloney fully achieved his goal in the upper category, starting from the ninth row and finishing the heat in sixteenth position.
“We are very satisfied with the performance of Zane who led a race without errors” says Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager. "Now we will dedicate ourselves to the postseason test session also scheduled here in Yas Marina, then we will take a break of almost three months. For the future? We want to be ready! The start of the new season is set in Sakhir the first months of March ”he concludes.
