Success in Melbourne for Trident Motorsport's F3 team: double victory with Câmara and Strømsted, Wurz sixth. Formula 2: Feature Race canceled.

Successful first weekend – March 14-16, 2025 – of the FIA Formula 3 Championship at Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne, for Trident Motorsport drivers.
The season opener saw Rafael Câmara take first place, undeterred by the rain, as he raced towards victory, securing his first career win.

Another podium finish was claimed by Noah Strømsted, who managed to keep his rivals behind him, securing second place and moving up to third in the championship standings. Lastly, a great comeback from Charlie Wurz, who, after retiring from the Sprint Race due to a collision, finished the race in a solid sixth place.

We have started the season on the right foot,” said Team Manager Giacomo Ricci. “Today’s Feature Race was tricky due to the weather conditions. Our drivers did a great job avoiding mistakes despite the slippery track and were well supported by our technical staff. We are pleased to have won the debut race with the new Formula 3 cars, continuing our team’s winning tradition. Now, it will be crucial to maintain this level, as the championship will be full of challenges with very strong rivals.” concluded the Team Manager.

Meanwhile, the Feature Race of the opening round of the FIA Formula 2 Championship was canceled due to the relentless rain that poured over Albert Park in Melbourne. As a result, no points will be awarded.

The next event is scheduled to take place from April 11 to 13 at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain.
