FIA F2 Championship : SPRINT RACE

Trident Motorsport scores points with both cars. P5 for Williams and P6 for Verschoor, Lawson wins the race

At the start of the Sprint Race, which involves the inversion of the top ten positions on the starting grid, as a result of some penalties suffered by opponents Williams started from third place, while Verschoor from ninth. The race was characterized by numerous accidents which resulted in the entry of the safety car which therefore broke the rhythm of the race. The Australian rookie still managed to take the first 4 points of the FIA Formula 2 Championship, crossing the finish line in fifth place. The comeback race was also excellent for the Dutch driver, who made no mistakes at the start, maintained a solid pace and amply gained the points zone, obtaining the sixth place finish.

Giacomo Ricci, Team Manager comments on the race as follows: "A positive race for the Trident Motorsport squad. The team avoided Williams making the mistake of re-entering to the pit lane while it was closed. I'm glad, the first points arrived for Calan, with a driver who is growing fast. Verschoor also had a good race and scored important points for the rankings ".

FIA F2 Championship : FEATURE RACE

P2 for Verschoor, Calan Williams points zone. Victory for Drugovic

The Formula 2 Team Trident weekend achieved a remarkable second position with Richard Verschoor. The victory instead goes to Drugovic, the Brazilian of the MP team who thus becomes the new seasonal leader, climbing to 45 points, +11 over Lawson. The third position of Daruvala of the Prema Power Team closes the podium.

Richard Verschoor achieved another prestigious result by taking the place of honor in the Feature Race, on the very fast track of Jeddah. The Dutch driver started from second position on the starting grid and raced in a high-level race, constantly close to the leader of the race. He maintained a very solid race pace, also finding himself first for a couple of laps after returning from tire changes. He therefore projects himself to third place in the league table.

Calan Williams, on the other hand, comes out of the points, closing the race in 15th position. The twenty-one year old driver from Perth showed he had some difficulties in managing the stages of the race in which he was in direct contact with his opponents, while he maintained a good pace when he was able to run undisturbed.

Giacomo Ricci, the Team Manager says: "Our car proved to be very competitive and supported Richard throughout the race, so we are extremely happy with his second position. As for Calan Williams, he lost some focus and he struggled in duels in the middle of the group, but we will do our best to help him improve as a driver! "
