Africa Eco Race 28 dicembre 2024 – 12 gennaio 2025
The Africa Eco Race 2025 has come to a close with another remarkable victory for Italian rider Jacopo Cerutti, who claimed first place for the second year in a row. Renowned for its immense difficulty and adventurous spirit, this iconic rally challenged participants with over 6,000 km of racing across 12 intense days through the rugged Sahara Desert landscapes.
The race, which began in Monaco, crossed three African countries: Morocco, Mauritania, and Senegal. Competitors faced extremely demanding special stages, with a mix of sand, rocks, and treacherous terrain that tested their endurance. One of the biggest challenges was navigation, where riders had to rely on their skills and experience to avoid mistakes in the vast desert expanse.
The final stage in Dakar marked the thrilling conclusion of the event. Cerutti, riding his Aprilia Tuareg, expertly handled the toughest moments in the race’s closing days, maintaining a steady pace to secure his victory. Italian rider Alessandro Botturi finished in second place, fighting until the last kilometer to hold his position. French rider Guillaume Borne claimed third, showing remarkable resilience throughout the rally.
A special mention goes to Pierpaolo Vivaldi, a Pakelo Hero for several years, who completed the race with incredible determination despite the numerous challenges. His perseverance and mental strength made his performance an inspiring example of passion and grit in motorsport.
The Africa Eco Race 2025 has once again solidified its reputation as one of the most grueling and prestigious rally events in the world, a competition that not only tests physical limits but mental ones as well, offering immense satisfaction to those who complete it.
