Off-road as a state of mind

In the Apennines near Parma, in the heart of Italian Motor Valley you can find one of the strongest and most passionate workshops of the off-road scene: the Acerni Custom Engineering aka ACE. Here Pier Acerni and his team restore, modify and tune extraordinary off-road prototypes.
In the workshop lingers the sense of heritage and victories but the atmosphere is pretty informal and friendly. The bond among team members is what really makes them unique. They’re a family, not just somebody’s business, and that makes ACE equal to none.
Pier Acerni inherited the family business from his father together with his passion for engines. At the age of 21 he’s already conquered the leadership of the Italian Off-road Championship.
Pier brought change and innovation in the Company that allowed ACE to make a huge step forward e.g. he introduced component’s three-dimensional design with CAD 3D.
Further field test experiments allowed ACE to manufacture tailor made components for customers making off-road competitions. Founding ACE Racing team was a natural consequence and Pier immediately started collecting victories gaining a good reputation among European Ultra4 contestants till he fulfilled the dream to take part to the famous King of the Hammers (KOH), the toughest single day competition that takes place in the Californian desert.
“For us off-road is an art, a synchronism. It's madness, bravery. It's a mental status.
Competing again in the King of the Hammers is the Pier Acerni’s goal. He’s been preparing his “Scarlett” prototype for years taking it to the extremes to face “American battlefields”. Calculus and instinct both live within him, the first measuring the other conquering.
In Pakelo Pier Acerni found a solid partner that helped him elaborating tailor made solutions especially for racing. Krypton engine oil, gear oil, brake and hydraulic fluids, all the giants created by ACE are engineering masterpieces equipped by our lubricants.
You should always believe in yourself. This is what being a Pakelo Hero means to me”.
